About The Steve Claridge Football Foundation
The Foundation offers you the experience of gaining qualifications through a specific sports programme. On field training will take place each day where the candidates will broaden their playing skills and fitness through developing all aspects of football.
Alongside Steve Claridge students train and work with high quality coaches and teaching staff including Salisbury FC assistant coach Chris Kean and current first team player Callum Hart as well as current Horndean FC assistant coach Gary Holland. These members of staff will offer a wealth of experience from their careers in youth football through to a professional level. With links to local clubs and Salisbury FC we are actively seeking to offer football pathways to hard working and committed students.
The BTEC / Apprenticeships qualifications gained through the course time will help the candidates gain a career in Sports coaching, Sports Development or PE teaching. We also offer students the opportunities to gain experience during holiday football camps, coaching in local schools and links to local football clubs.

“The main objective is to give them a little bit of structure to their lives. Make them understand what it takes to have a job every day, to turn up on time and have that bit of discipline. Some people don’t understand how disciplined the life of a footballer should be if they do it properly. That’s what I’m trying to impress upon them through my football academy.” – Steve Claridge
